State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Central Bank, is looking for talented and energetic candidates for the following contractual positions in the IT Programs & Project Management Department based at Karachi.

Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:
• Assist the unit head in planning, organizing and controlling database administration activities.
• Assist unit head in providing Production & Development Database Administration (DBA) support for Oracle, DB2, MS SQL Server database and Core Banking applications experience will be preferred.
• Basic understanding with LINUX and Windows operating system.
• Monitor and analyze database system performance (e.g., stress volume), perform database systems testing, performance and tuning.
• Assist in performing configuration monitoring and proactively reviews statistics for errors, capacity and performance issues of production and development databases.
• Perform disaster recovery periodic drills for mock testing and live operations of databases and applications.
• Receive support queries from different business stakeholders for application and database related issues.
• Participate in the scheduled DR drills for business applications Systems for effective business continuity planning.
• Assist the Unit/Divisional Heads in reviewing the existing applications and share/suggest refinements and improvements to ensure that the most efficient methods are employed.
• Assist in various departmental projects’ information gathering, project implementation and post implementation support.
• Undertake and complete any other technology/IT systems related task/s assigned by the superior.

Qualification:

Education:
• Master's or Bachelor's degree with 16 years of education in IT, Computer Science/Systems, Computer Engineering or equivalent qualification from HEC recognized domestic or from a reputable foreign university.

Age:
• Maximum 35 years, as on the last date of application submission.

Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in relevant field.
