Description:

Key Responsibilities:
• Select appropriate number of accounts and operational areas using sampling techniques as per Annual Audit Plan sampling criteria
• Effectively audit credit operations aspects of respective unit. Manager Audit will adopt proper audit techniques to ensure audit assertions (completeness, accuracy, existence etc.) and quality
• Timely submit Audit reports to SMA/DH-BRR after ensuring its quality and adequacy
• Ensure that the process for identifying the control gaps/exceptions is functional and timely; ensure adequacy of the findings and acceptance of the same from respective unit audited. This is achieved through already acquired technical knowledge, professional acumen, experience & education, discussion with team and other stake holders and constant vigilant monitoring
• Enhance professional perspective and innovation to the bank's operational processes and procedures related to credits in order to improve the efficiency and overall value of the control functions of the bank. Constant improvement is being ensured
• Maintain cordial working relationship with respective units and other departments while evaluating their work and it is ensured that objectivity is maintained. All matters are professionally and amicably handled to avoid any friction which may rise due to nature of work.
• Ensures that staff keeps themselves abreast of changes in the Regulator's and policy spheres that may have implication on banks processes and procedures. To achieve this end, latest policies, instructions etc. are gathered from internal/external sources and disseminated to staff
• Be alert to the mean of generating feedback as to the progress of various assignments in process
• Access team members, patiently listen to their problems and guide them at all stages to motivate their enthusiasm and initiative
• Assign tasks to team members. Assign audit jobs to auditors accordingly, allocate sample size, which must be written on sample selection and its frequency
• Supervise audit team's work to carry out inspection as per laid down procedure
• Monitor behavior of team members with the concerned and vice versa. Keep friendly atmosphere during the audit but not at the cost of audit work and compromise. Ensure that Audit is conducted in most congenial but professional atmosphere and make best use of interpersonal skills in this regard
• Ensure that daily exception sheets are update, delivery is acknowledged and they are received back with management's acceptance and response
• Communicate any high risk violation(s) or suspected transactions or exceptions that may lead to Fraud & Forgery or parallel banking to SMA/DH for further guidance/clarification and raise Red Flags
• Obtain agreement of rating in writing from the Line Management or Higher Management if required and in case of any disagreement with the rating, the matter should be referred to SMA/DH and discuss the same with Cluster/Divisional Head etc.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration from any HEC recognized University with Major in Finance/Banking or any relevant professional qualification
• 5-7 years banking experience in banking with at least three (3) years in lending operations/CAD
• Strong knowledge of security/loan documentation and prevalent laws and regulations.
• Strong technical knowledge of credit policies, processes/procedures and international best practices
• Strong communication and report writing skills
