Description:
REGULAR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accreditation & Licensure Activities:
• Assist in Organizational initiatives to meet international quality standards by drafting and developing Institutional policies, performing audits for improvement and Quality initiatives at PCP sites
• Provide assistance in developing strategies to ensure maintenance and sustainability of the hospital-wide compliance to the goals and objectives of the Joint Commission.
• Assist in training and development of staff on organizational policies.
Sindh Health Commission/Punjab Health Commission Related:
• Manage and perform all activities pertaining to the registration, accreditation and preparation of primary care sites.
• Conduct & supervise periodic audit reviews of departmental quality systems to ensure compliance to applicable standards.
• Manage projects involving Quality Improvement and Patient Safety from formation of project team through post implementation support.
• Risk Management:
• Provide support and maintenance of the "Incident Reporting System"
• Conduct necessary analysis to identify root causes of system failures in various areas when required
• Assist in implementation of solutions to eliminate recurring failures and improve system performance.
• Quality Improvement Initiatives:
• Facilitate and support staff in quality audits and develop audit reports.
• Facilitate under supervision staff in conducting awareness sessions on various quality improvement standards, internal quality audits, and other areas as required.
• Responsible for the orientation of new staff employed in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Department.
• Attending different Quality Improvement Committee meetings as assigned.
• Developing and implementation of Quality Initiative plans.
• Monitor QI Team activities from all assigned facilities and prepare quarterly reports for the Head of Department.
• Draft data driven plans related to the area of assignment (e.g., Risk Management, Quality Improvement, Data analysis, etc.).
• Provide assistance to Manger / Deputy Manager QIPS in departmental tasks and other assignments
• Update the activities to the HOD QMD & Manager Clinical Operations, on an on-going basis.
• Patients Complaints & Feedback Management:
• Handle patient complaints (written & verbal).
• Conduct patient feedback/satisfaction survey to analyze trends and take actions for service improvements
• Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, & quality management program.
• Provide guidance to patients and their attendants for their problems & concerns.
• Execution and implementation of the policies through all counters of public interface.
• Interview patients for personal information.
• Liaise with consultants, doctors and department managers for giving better services to the patients and solve their problems.
• Attend departmental meetings as and when required.
• Update the activities to the HOD QMD and Manager Clinical Operations – CHD on an on-going basis.
PERIODIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Carry out 6 monthly and yearly analysis for incidents, in specific of the PCP sites, and other data as per need.
• Represent the department in different forums as per need of PCP sites.
Qualification:
• MBBS/BDS/BScN or MScN (Preferable) Msc/Bsc in Basic Health Sciences BS/MS in Total Quality Management or Equivalent
Experience:
• At least (Four) 4 years’ working experience in healthcare institution /related field.
