Description:

COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI), Islamabad Campus intends to establish a pool of visiting faculty (Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor) in the following departments/subjects, having MS or M.Phil (18 years) / PhD degree in the relevant fields. The services of visiting faculty in the pool shall be utilized as and when required basis. Interested candidates may apply ONLINE in all fields of following departments:

• Economics
• Electrical & Computer Engineering
• Mathematics
• Computer Science
• Architecture
• Art & Design
• Management Sciences
• Humanities
• Physics
• Biosciences (Bioinformatics)
• Chemistry

Qualification:

• As per CUI / HEC Criteria

Some criteria available on COMSATs website is given below:

Lecturer (OG-I)

• Education: First Class 18-year degree or foreign MS or equivalent degree in the relevant field with not more than one 2nd division in the academic career from an HEC recognized Institution.
• Experience: No experience
• Publications: Nil

Assistant Professor (OG-II)

• Education: Ph.D. in the relevant field from HEC recognized Institution
• Experience: No experience
• Publications: Nil

The eligibility criteria for Associate Professor and Professors was not available on COMSATs website, so the HEC criteria is shared below:

Associate Professor

• Education: PhD in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University/Institution.
• Experience:
- 10-years teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a postgraduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization
OR
- 5-years post-PhD teaching/ research experience in an HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization

• Publications: The applicant must have 10 research publications (with at least 4 publications in the last 5 years in the HEC recognized Journals.

Professor

• Education: PhD in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University/Institution.
• Experience:
- 15-years teaching/research experience in HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.
OR
- 10-years post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience in a recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.

• Publications: The applicant must have 15 research publications with at least 5 publications in the last 5 years in HEC recognized
journals.
