Description:

The Government of Sindh invites applications from the renowned academician, accomplished and motivated academic leaders, dynamic professional having managerial and financial leadership Skills for the position of Vice Chancellor, Shaikh Ayaz University, Shikarpur.

PRIMARY JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To promote quality education
• To promote Research & Development Projects
• To establish National / International linkages with Industrial Sector and renowned Institutions
• To plan sustainable business model
• Data gathering and analysis of various industrial sectors

CONTRACT PERIOD
• 4 Years (extendable)

GENERAL CONDITIONS:
• Only applicants having Sindh Domicile are eligible.
• The remuneration will be market based, commensurate with qualifications.
• No TADA will be admissible for interview.
• Only short-listed candidates will be invited for interviews.
• Government reserves the right to cancel the process of recruitment for positions at any stage.

Qualification:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:
• Professor or eligible to be a Professor as per HEC Criteria

HEC Requirements for Professor:
(HEC Eligibility Criteria for teaching/ faculty positions is attached for your reference)
• PhD in Engineering or Technology or Computing Sciences or equivalent qualification from an Institute or a University recognized by the Higher Education Commission;
• Fifteen Years teaching or research or professional experience Postgraduate Institute or University recognized by the Higher Education Commission or National or International organization;
OR
• Ten years post-PhD teaching or research or professional experience in a Postgraduate Institute or University recognized by the Higher Education Commission or National or International organization; and
• Fifteen research publications in the Journals recognized by Higher Education Commission or Pakistan Engineering Council out of which five publications shall be within last five years.

EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 20 years' experience including 10 years administrative, financial, academic experience on the position(s) of Vice Chancellor / Rector / President / Pro Vice Chancellor / Dean / Chairman / Registrar /PrincipaI in any University / Degree Awarding Institute College
OR
• In BPS-17 & above or equivalent in public Sector or reputable National / International Private Organization.

JOB SKILLS
• The incumbent shall have analytical and critical thinking skills, exceptional written, spoken and presentation skills Strong ability to collect, differentiate and analyze qualitative and quantitative data as well as fully understanding on finances

AGE LIMIT
• Maximum 62 years on closing date
