The Meezan Bank announced job vacancy for the post of Manager Compliance Review at Compliance department at Head Office - Karachi.

Meezan Bank, Pakistan’s leading Islamic Commercial Bank, operating with a network of more than 980 branches in over 320 cities across the country, is seeking applications from individuals meeting the following criteria:

Job Responsibilities of Manager Compliance Review at Meezan Bank Limited:

• Departmental audit/review planning and execution, including close liaison with senior management of concerned departments in order to develop profound understanding of activities, accounting process and internal controls.
• Preparing comprehensive departmental audit/review programs to verify that SBP Regulations/ Directives, Bank’s policies and procedures are complied with.
• To oversee compliance review reports in collaboration with team members, and to provide supervision and thorough review of their work. Reviewing of credit risk review of financing portfolio managed by Corporate Finance, SME/ Commercial and Consumer Financing in line with requirements of SBP’s Prudential Regulations.
• Develop and perform substantive and analytical procedures in order to identify areas of non-compliance.
• Review and evaluation of internal control systems, identification of gaps and suggesting procedures/controls for their improvements in important areas of the Bank.
• Finalization of departmental review/audit engagements and sharing report findings with senior management.
• Monitor the progress of annual departmental compliance plan and provide periodic updates to relevant management committee(s).

Location:
• Head Office - Karachi

• *Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
• Preference will be given to those who have qualification in Islamic Finance.

Qualification:

• Chartered Accountant (Institute of Chartered Accountancy Pakistan)

Experience:

• At least 2 years working experience in Internal Audit, Compliance, External Audit (Banks) or similar capacity.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Must have expert knowledge of Banking Regulations including but not limited to SBP’s Prudential Regulations and AML/CFT/CPF Regulations.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office including all of its components
• Auditing
