Description:

Pak-Arab Refinery Company (PARCO) has announced job vacancy of Process Engineer - Technical Services.

The job responsibilities of Process Engineer - Technical Services at Pak-Arab Refinery Company (PARCO) are:
• Provide process engineering support, monitoring plant performance, capture optimization opportunities and value-creation programs for the operation of Refinery Units in order to operate safely, reliably, and economically as well as achieve target goals while realizing company strategic imperatives.
• Performance monitoring of the assigned units with respect to Material & Energy Balances and products yields & quality of intermediate & final products. Strive for Fuel & Energy Conservation at various equipment.
• Monitoring of equipment performance like Columns, Reactors, Fired Heaters, compressors and pumps, etc. Performance Monitoring of exchangers train and water cooler efficiency.
• Evaluation, Selection & Consumption of Chemicals, Catalyst, Adsorbents, Filtering Media etc.
• Troubleshooting of unit problems, analysis and suggest changes in operating parameters and identify the need to improve the operating conditions to make operation more effective, efficient and economical.
• Initiate Change Requests, Conduct Technical Study, Participate in HAZOP, Review Design Package, Participate in Change Implementation & Project Closeout Analysis for Management of Change (MOC) Procedure.
• Monitor refinery units through-put, evaluate unit performance. Optimizations of product yields and ensure minimum giveaways in products.
• Conducting technical studies regarding process optimization, cost effective modifications.
• Ensure secrecy of Company’s confidential and classified information.
• Familiar with data historian, process simulation software Aspen HYSYS and other latest tools and software.
• Maintain & update information database system to track the operation of Units.
• Preparation and revision of procedures of relevant areas.
• Technical evaluation and inspection for the procurement of chemicals and catalysts.
• Participation in special activities like catalyst unloading/loading, neutralization of exchangers & Reactors vessels, decoking of heaters, performance tests etc.
• Correspondence with the outside agencies i.e. process licensor, chemical suppliers, vendors etc.
 
Location:
• Mid Country Refinery, Mahmod Kot.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from a local or foreign HEC recognized university with valid registration as Engineer with PEC.
• Experience of Refinery process units and utilities is required.
• Should be a team player with excellent verbal and written communication, technical report writing, interpersonal and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of computer software (MS Office), process simulation and other relevant software.
• Excellent knowledge of basic economic evaluation, strong planning, and implementation skills.
• Working knowledge of simulation, hydraulics, line sizing, pressure drop and efficiency calculations.

Experience:
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience in Petroleum Refinery/ Petrochemical industry including Fertilizer.
• Experience of refinery process units.
• Experience of of CDU/VDU, Diesel Hydrotreating Unit and NHT/Platformer/CCR will be preferred.

Eligibility Criteria for Internal Applications from PARCO Employees for the post of Process Engineer - Technical Services at PARCO:

• Must be a permanent employee of PARCO (or subsidiary company) for at least a year.
• Must intimate Line Manager formally through email before application.
• Shortlisted candidates must share intimation email with Talent Acquisition before interview scheduling.
• Must have a meet expectations rating or above in previous PMP cycle.
• Can apply for positions at same grade or 1 grade higher than their current grade.
