Mehran University of Engineering & Technology (MUET), Jamshoro has announced a job vacancy for Research Assistant(s) - Solid Waste Management Component at U.S.- Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Water (USPCAS-W) at main campus of MUET, Jamshoro.

Applications are invited for the following position in a project titled “Water Governance for Sindh Activity” has been awarded by as sub-awardee by USAID and Lead partner is HANDS.

Research Assistant(s) - Solid Waste Management Component

Provide assistance to the component lead and co-lead in managing all component activities of the project. The major job responsibilities will include:
• Responsible for providing technical support to the component lead in the project activities. This will include data gathering, field visits, office management, preparing trainings, workshops, presentations, report writing and so on.
• Review and analyze the data, develop reports, monitor activities, prepare activityplans, and submit activity and monthly progress reports.
• Lab and field experiments on waste analyses, composting, and digestion.
• Recording of minutes of meeting, preparing a presentation, and preparation

Of meeting minutes, preparing a presentation, and preparing relevant reports as required by the component lead and project management.
• Prepare and consolidate expenditure framework and budget
• Organize the seminars, workshops, and conferences
• Get the time-to-time instructions from project leadPIs & Co-PI and respondaccordingly.

Qualification:

The candidate should have a BS/BE/Masters completed in relevant field or at least enrolled in Master’s Environmental Engineering/Environmental Sciences and closely relevant fields.

• Having experience of working in donor-funded projects, especially in SolidWaste Management
• Having expertise in lab analysis, data collection, data analysis, lab techniques, report writing etc.
