Mehran University of Engineering & Technology (MUET), Jamshoro has announced a job vacancy for Research Assistant (Wastewater & Sanitation Component) at U.S.- Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Water (USPCAS-W) at main campus of MUET, Jamshoro.

Applications are invited for the following position in a project titled “Water Governance for Sindh Activity” has been awarded by as sub-awardee by USAID and Lead partner is HANDS.

Research Assistant (Wastewater & Sanitation Component)

Provide assistance to component lead in managing all component activities of the project.

The major job responsibilities will include:
• Responsible for providing technical support to component lead in the project activities. This will include office management, preparing trainings, workshops, presentation, report writing and so on.
• Review and analyze the data, develop reports, monitor activities, prepare activity plan, and submit activity andmonthly progress report
• Recording of minutes of meeting, preparing a presentation, and preparation of relevant reports as required by the component lead and project management.
• Prepare and consolidate expenditure framework and budget
• Write publications and book chapters
• Be able to study and model the urban wastewater related environmental issues Solid analytical skills
• Team management and field management skills
• Organize the seminars, workshops, and conferences
• Get the time-to-time instructions from PI & Co-PI and respond accordingly

Qualification:

The candidate should have a BS/BE/Masters completed in relevant field or at least enrolled in Master’s in Environmental Engineering/Environmental Science/ Biological Sciences/WASHand closely relevant fields.

• Having experience of working in donor-funded projects, especially in Wastewater and Sanitation
• Having expertise in lab analysis, data collection, data analysis, lab techniques, report writing etc.
