Description:

Mehran University of Engineering & Technology (MUET), Jamshoro has announced a job vacancy for Research Assistant (Drinking Water Component) at U.S.- Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Water (USPCAS-W) at main campus of MUET, Jamshoro.

Applications are invited for the following position in a project titled “Water Governance for Sindh Activity” has been awarded by as sub-awardee by USAID and Lead partner is HANDS.

Research Assistant (Drinking Water Component)

Provide assistance to component lead in managing all component activities of the project.

The major job responsibilities will include:
• Responsible for providing technical support to component lead in the project activities. This will include office management, preparing trainings, workshops, presentation, report writing and so on.
• Review and analyze the data, develop reports, monitor activities, prepare activity plan, and submit activity andmonthly progress report
• Recording of minutes of meeting, preparing a presentation, and preparation of relevant reports as required by the component lead and project management.
• Prepare and consolidate expenditure framework and budget
• Be able to study and model the urban drinking water
• Solid analytical skills
• Team management and field management skills
• Organize the seminars, workshops, and conferences
• Get the time-to-time instructions from PI & Co-PI and respond accordingly

Qualification:

The candidate should have a degree in BE – Civil Engineering and enrolled in Master’s Environmental Engineering

• Having experience of working in donor-funded projects, especially in Drinking Water
• Having expertise in lab analysis, data collection, data analysis, lab techniques, report writing etc.
