National University of Science and Technology (NUST), Islamabad campus has announced job vacancy for Director Internal Audit at NUST main campus, Islamabad.

Job Responsibilities of Director Internal Audit at NUST, Islamabad Campus are:
- Implement and monitor internal audit policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Devise an internal audit implementation strategy.
- Analyze and evaluate the adequacy, effectiveness, efficiency, and reliability of internal controls and propose recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure efficient day-to-day operations of the department in line with best financial practices, and audit procedures and in compliance with NUST policies.
- Inter and intra-departmental liaison for compliance as per policy and requirements.
- Ensure effective and timely management reporting.
- Assist the management in investigation wherever required.
- Evaluate the reliability and integrity of information.
- Analysis of financial data by using the latest financial reporting tools and techniques.
- Assist in management decision-making by analyzing cases/reports, budget, and expenditures, and flagging critical aspects.
- Comprehensive compliance of tax laws both national and international (where applicable).
- Oversee and conclude external audit, compliance of internal audit and Government audit processes.

Terms & Conditions:
* Candidates must attach scanned copies of their documents (Academics / Professional) along with their CVs.
* The last Education Certificate/Degree should be verified/attested by HEC.
* Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons: -
- 3rd Div in academic career.
- NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and absence of NOC from the Head of Institution.
- Medically Unfit.
- In the process of pursuing a degree.
* Candidates serving in Govt departments, Armed Forces, etc. may apply through their respective parent departments/organizations.
* Late/incomplete applications will be ignored. Only short-listed candidates will be considered/called for an interview/test and no TA/DA will be admissible.
* Only selected candidates will be contacted and issued offer letters.

Qualification:

Essential
• Completed article ship with reputable CA firm with total experience of 10-15 years with 5-8 years of experience in relevant field.

Desirable
• Article ship and CA Finalist/ ACCA Qualified/ ACMA/CIMA. Experience in leading accounting firm/s would be considered an advantage.

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities/ Competencies:

Essential
- Proven experience in formulating and implementing efficient audit/ financial management systems and procedures to enable efficient operations.
- Proficient knowledge and experience in modern financial management, audit compliance, and accounting practices, relevant legislation, and financial policies and -procedures (e.g.: IFRS, etc).
- Strong knowledge of applicable Tax laws.
- Hand-on experience in PPRA.
- Strong communication, written, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- General IT skills: Use of ERP systems (emphasis on financial modules), use of Microsoft Office, email and Internet-based research.
- Ability to manage a team of 7-8.
- Commitment to the Code of Ethics.

Desirable
- On-hand experience of financial modeling.
- Odoo (ERP)

- Advanced Excel
