National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced job vacancy of `Assistant Director (Storage)` at Islamabad.

NADRA is seeking dynamic and experienced professional for following position:

• Position: Assistant Director (Storage)
• Location: Islamabad

Qualification:

• B.S COMPUTER SCIENCE
• BS (Information Security)

Experience Required

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in infrastructure services and storage administration.

Other Requirements

• Experience in Infrastructure storage related configuration activities including storage and hosts zoning, storage provisioning, copy services & masking, disaster recovery configuration and replication for the different SAN storage technologies and platforms to provide the applications with the required storage with the maximum performance.
• Experience in Design, Install and operate the Network Area Storage (NAS) infrastructure and work on continuous improvement for the performance while ensuring high standard of security and vulnerabilities remediation.
• Can Review the storage platforms and SAN switches software and firmware life cycles review vendors functional and security newsletters and carry out software and firmware upgrades, apply fixes and security patches.
• Can Ensure all storage platforms and SAN switches, storage replication and continuous data protection are monitored, logging, alerting and notifications are enabled/configured along with employing specialized monitoring tools for each storage and SAN connectivity which will give deep insights on the storage and san switches performance and healthiness in order to act proactively on predictive failures or bugs.
• Participate in storage solutions’ upgrade design, architecture reviews, security reviews, capacity planning, and performance trend analysis.
• Troubleshoot storage performance, connectivity issues, replication and continuous data protection issues along with providing root cause analysis and provide support to other teams during issues.
• Perform and automate ongoing health checks, capacity utilization trend analysis, and conduct risk assessment exercises for backup solutions to ensure efficiency, availability and smooth functionality.
• Apply fixes and security patches to remediate security issues, comply with the global standards, close audit requirements and findings and support strategy for implementing security baselines.
• Follow all relevant department policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
• Develop and execute backup and recovery strategies to protect critical data must have experience of any backup software. In-depth knowledge of following technologies:-
• Brocade SAN ,IBM , Dell EMC and Huawei storage experience preferable
• Storage Area Networking (SAN) and Network Area Storage (NAS) concepts
• Operating Systems (UNIX, MS Windows, Linux) and Host Bus Adapter concepts
• Scripting experience
• Minimum to have one certification in any OEM
• Good Communication and Presentation skills
• Good Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving skills
