Description:

National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced job vacancy of `Director (Data Scientist)` at Islamabad.

NADRA is seeking dynamic and experienced professional for following position:

• Position: Director (Data Scientist)
• Location: Islamabad

Following are the key responsibilities:
• Knowledge of working with data querying languages (e.g SQL, Oracle), scripting languages (e.g Python, R), and tools (e.g Pytorch, HuggingFace, OpenCV, Matlab, etc.).
• Knowledge of data extraction, analysis and transformation.
• Knowledge of supervised learning methods (linear and logistic regression, time-series modelling, generalized linear models, decision tress, random forests, support vector machines, etc.) and unsupervised learning models, decision tress, random forests, support vector machines, etc.) and unsupervised learning methods (K-means, hierarchical clustering association rules, principal components).
• Ability to convey rigorous technical concepts and considerations to non-experts.
• Ability to build models and tools using technical knowledge in machine learning, statistical modeling, probability and decision theory and other quantitative techniques.
• Ability to improve upon existing methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively advocate technical solutions to engineering teams and business audiences.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s in computer science or related degree.

Experience:
• 10-12 Years of experience in related field.

NADRA set out on the journey of Civil Registration of all Pakistanis in March 2000 and in a short span of time NADRA’s team indigenously created a state of the art centralized Data Warehouse, Network Infrastructure and Interactive Data Acquisition Systems to issue secure National Identity Cards (NIC). With the introduction of this new fool-proof, comprehensive and highly sophisticated computerized system; NADRA has been successful in reducing the identity theft to a bare minimum.
