Description:

Virtual University (VU) of Pakistan has announced job vacancy for the post of `Research Associate` at Rawalpindi/Islamabad campus.

Applications of bright & motivated individual are required for a post of “Research Associate” in an international
Research Project at Virtual University of Pakistan, by Dr. Tanveer Hussain (Associate Professor, Department of
Biological Sciences), on Ad-hoc basis (initially for a period of one (1) year, however extendable subject to
satisfactory performance). The duty station will be Virtual University of Pakistan, Rawalpindi/Islamabad campus.

Name of the Project
• Exploring the Yak adaptation, immunity, parasitic load, phenotype, blood Profiling along with activation of Yak farmers, breeders and local community in Northern Pakistan

Qualification:

• BS/MS in the field of Molecular Biology/Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Bio Sciences/ Zoology/DVM

• Candidate should have experience of lab work including DNA, RNA extraction, PCR, RT-PCR, basic skills of bioinformatics software along with exposure to field activities.

• All candidates must have excellent command over spoken and written English.
• IT proficiency is a must.

Employment Type:
