Job Responsibilities of Deputy Manager- GIS & CAD Interface Specialist at Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC)

• Develop web mapping applications and geo-processing tools.

• Develop and /or update natural gas pipeline infrastructure into ArcGIS.

• Prepare and/or update natural gas infrastructure map.

• Analyze spatial data through map software.

• Design digital maps with geographic and other data sources.

• Conversion of physical maps of gas pipeline infrastructure into digital form.

• Create shape-files to merge topographical data with external data by layering external data over a topographical map.

• Provide support for software and hardware systems that are used by other departments within an organization.

• Design, code and integrate application with database management systems.

• Work effectively in a team to develop high quality GIS solutions.

Qualification:

• M.Sc (Geography, Computer Science or equivalent) with at least 5 years of experience in the field of Geographic Information System (GIS) Development.
• Experience in developing gas pipeline networks. Full command on Auto CAD is essential.

Additional Requirements:
• Conduct field survey to obtain coordinates of gas pipeline infrastructure.
• Prepare drawings on AutoCAD (Civil / Mechanical).
• Data collection of different sites.
• Hands on knowledge and experience on GPS Satellite Locator.
