Description:

Pak-Arab Refinery Company (PARCO) has announced job vacancy of Chief Engineer (Electrical).

The job responsibilities of Chief Engineer (Electrical) at Pak-Arab Refinery Company (PARCO) are:
• Candidate should manage the maintenance of all electrical equipment such as electrical motors, transformers, switchgear panels, Motors, Generators, Control centers, Safety devices, Battery chargers, UPS, etc. installed at various stations and terminals. 
• The ideal candidate should Possess thorough knowledge and experience in 220 kV/ 132 kV Grid Station equipment such as Power Transformers and OLTCs, Circuit Breakers, Instrument Transformers, Isolators, Surge Arrestors etc.
• He /she should possess thorough knowledge and understanding of electrical power system protection like testing of protection relays, understanding of load flow analysis/ protection coordination studies, short-circuit studies, ETAP software, etc.
• The candidate should have the capability to study layout plans, designs, drawings and prepare financial / time estimates for approved modifications, and recommend incorporation of changes based on local conditions.
• He /she must be able to review the need to employ the services of maintenance contractors, manage the process of contracting out major maintenance work as per company policy, and assist superiors in carrying out necessary steps for prequalifying contractors for maintenance work.
• The prospective candidate should arrange tender/quotation documents for maintenance & upgrades, review bid evaluation, and IEC approval notes.
• He/she should ensure adherence to the current standards and specifications for maintenance and maintenance schedules. Recommend improvements wherever necessary to improve efficiency in scheduled / unscheduled shutdowns.
• The candidate must ensure the availability of critical spares for smooth pumping operation and recommend replacement of equipment when necessary.

Qualification:

• Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical)
• Experience in maintenance of overall Electrical Equipment and Power Supply/ Management Systems in Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, or related industries.
• Should be familiar with HSEQ Standards / Work Practices in a Fuel Oil Refinery / Petrochemical Plant, Hands-on experience on Enterprise Resource Planner (ERP) Systems e.g. SAP/ Oracle.
• Having good Communication and Presentation Skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Should possess practical maintenance troubleshooting experience on all electrical equipment such as electrical motors, transformers, switchgear panels, Motors, Generators, Control centers, Safety devices and grid stations, Battery chargers, UPS, etc.
 
Experience:
• 12 - 18 years

Age Limit:
• 36 - 45 years

Internal Eligibility Criteria:
• Must be a permanent employee of Parco (or subsidiary company) for at-least a year.
• Must intimate Line Manager before applying.
• Must have a meet expectations rating or above in previous PMP cycle.
• Can apply for positions at same grade or 1 grade higher than their current grade.
