Description:

Community Health Directorate (CHD) has announced job vacancy of Communication Coordinator (Islamabad) at Communication department.

The job responsibilities of Communication Coordinator (Islamabad) at Community Health Directorate (CHD) are:
• Ensure full compliance with CHD-IHHN Communication strategy/plan/guidelines and protocols
• Create engaging and informative materials that effectively convey the goals, impacts, and updates of CHD programs which includes but not limited to flyers, broachers, leaflets, power point presentation, posters, program briefs, videos, formal letters and any other program and communication documents
• Develop and implement communication campaigns at national and provincial level to raise awareness about the CHD programs and initiatives.
• Create content for social media, digital platforms, print, and electronic media. This involves crafting messages, designing visuals, and ensuring that all materials are tailored to the specific media channels.
• Oversee the CHD's social media presence, developing strategies to increase follower engagement, and monitoring the effectiveness of social media campaigns
• Writing, editing, and proofreading content for various programs and communication channels, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with CHD's mission and values.
• Building and maintaining relationships with media outlets, pitching stories, and coordinating media coverage for CHD programs and events.
• Assisting in the planning and execution of events, workshops, and community outreach activities, ensuring effective communication before, during, and after these events
• Maintain and update monthly communication calendar, workplan by focusing on communication needs of CHD programs
• Initiate different innovative ventures to communicate the CHD program impact to external and internal stakeholders, partners and collaborators
• Provide support to communication team of CHD for designing and developing monthly and quarterly program updates in the form newsletter or e-newsletter for internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with IPC provincial and district teams to understand their communication needs and providing support to address requirements. This includes facilitating information flow and ensuring consistency in messaging across all levels.
• Manage and handle IPC program communication channels and keep them activated with IPC activities
• Carry out any other program and communication related task assigned by the supervisor.

Qualification:

• Masters in Social Science. Preferably Communication studies/Mass Communication

Experience:
• 7-9 years’ relevant work experience, preferably in the health sector
