The job responsibilities of Officer Education and Training at The Indus Hospital, Korangi Campus, Karachi are:
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Develop, implement, and evaluate training programs and educational materials for blood center staff, volunteers, and donors.
β’ Conduct orientation sessions and refresher training for new and existing employees on blood collection, storage, and transfusion protocols.
β’ Organize community awareness campaigns and educational outreach programs to encourage voluntary blood donation.
β’ Collaborate with medical, technical, and administrative departments to ensure consistent messaging and compliance with safety standards.
β’ Maintain records of training activities, attendance, and performance assessments.
β’ Stay updated with the latest guidelines and best practices in blood donation and transfusion medicine.
β’ Assist in the preparation of reports related to education and training activities.
β’ Support recruitment and retention of voluntary donors through education and engagement initiatives.
β’ Coordinate with external agencies, hospitals, and community organizations for joint awareness programs.
β’ Promote a culture of continuous learning and quality improvement within the blood center.
Qualifications: β’ Bachelorβs degree in Health Education, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Technology, or related field.
β’ Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
β’ Ability to design educational content and training modules.
β’ Knowledge of blood donation procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
β’ Proficiency in MS Office and digital presentation tools.
β’ Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
β’ Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Qualification:
β’ BS MLT, Preferred Masters in Science or a related field.
Experience:
β’ 0 - 2 Years Experience in health education, training, or community outreach, preferably in blood banking or transfusion services.
