The individuals who fulfill the below basic-eligibility criteria may apply for the following positions:

IT Systems Administrator (AVP / VP)
• Reporting to: Unit Head — AD Exchange & Internet Security / Systems Administration (Windows) / Virtualization & Storage / Databases Administration / Systems Administration

Other Skills / Expertise / Knowledge Required
Expertise in "any" of the following platforms/ languages:
o LINUX administration with experience of Redhat, Ubuntu, CentOS, shell / bash scripting
o AIX (IBM) administration with experience of LPAR, HMC, security hardening, patching upgrades
o Microsoft Windows Server (MS) Administration with experience of Active Directory, Exchange, SCCM, DHCP and DNS Management, ROOT CA and Digicert SSL Certificate
o Oracle Product administration for Oracle Exadata / Weblogic / Golden Gate / Cloud Control (original equipment manufacture's) with experience of Oracle Databases, RAC, Data Guard and knowledge of DB component
o MSSQL Server Administration with experience of SQL AlwaysON, HA/DR and knowledge of DB components
• Strong working knowledge of system architecture and administration concepts
• Good understanding of RFPs (Request for Proposals), support renewals and SLAs (Service Level Agreements)
• Ability to work closely within a team

Outline of Main Duties / Responsibilities
• To manage IT infrastructure effectively and perform day-to-day support operations, monitoring of production development and testing environments
• To manage upgrades, migrations, maintenance and patching activities related to all on-going projects and assignments
• To manage and implement security standards i.e. encryption, security certificates, etc.
• To perform backup activities and conduct routine hardware and software audits to ensure compliance as per the standards, policies and original equipment manufacture's (OEM) configuration guidelines
• To monitor the performance and implement required changes for performance enhancement to ensure seamless service delivery from the production systems with maximum uptime
• To perform disaster recovery planning and implementation in-line with Bank's policy
• To provide 24/7 operating support with quick resolutions and escalation of issues / incidents to line manager and vendor
• To promptly escalate anomalies of procedure or any suspicious activities as per the laid down procedures
• To maintain and manage virtualize environments
• To plan and make changes (where necessary) related to Security Information and Event Managements (SIEMs) solution for integration and management

Place of Posting: Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad

Employment Type: The employment will be on contractual basis, for three years which may be renewed on discretion of the Management. Selected candidates will be offered compensation package and other benefits as per Bank's Policy / rules

Qualification:

• Minimum Bachelor's in IT, Computer Science or equivalent from a local or international university / college / institute recognized by the HEC
• Candidates having Master's degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent and / or relevant certification will be preferred

Experience
• Minimum 05 years of experience of Systems Administration
• Candidates having experience in a financial or non-financial and / or large-scale enterprise(s) will be preferred

Employment Type:

• This job offered by National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) is a Contractual position. Most of the jobs on contractual positions are renewed depending the need and performance of the employee.
