The individuals who fulfill the below basic-eligibility criteria may apply for the following positions:

Senior Network Engineer (AVP / VP)
• Reporting to: Unit Head — WAN Operations / LAN Operations (Core / Campus) / Security Operations (Internet / Extranet)

Other Skills / Expertise / Knowledge Required
• Expertise in designing, implementing and migration of networks
• Strong working knowledge in providing Level — 2/3 support to end users and address issues of end-users
• Ability to manage WAN, LAN, WLAN and Network Security effectively
• Understanding of industry-standard related to network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds etc.
• Knowledge of Core Switching / Data Center SD - Technologies, Wi-Fi Switching Technologies, SD-WAN, firewall technologies, static & dynamic routing etc.
• Good analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills both written and spoken
• Ability to work closely within a team
• Ability to handle pressure and be proactive towards issue resolution


Outline of Main Duties / Responsibilities
• To configure and install various network devices and services (e.g. routers, switches, firewalls)
• To troubleshoot complex network issues, familiar with a variety of tools and techniques
• To manage security solution setups, routing policies, NAT, access-list, etc.
• To monitor network firewalls and monitoring tools to report network activities and build comprehensive statistics
• To ensure the security of the network by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access
• To design system configuration; direct system installation; define, document, and enforce system standards
• To maximize network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects on network optimization
• To report network operational status by gathering, and prioritizing information, managing projects and troubleshooting all network systems to identify and correct malfunctions
• To ensure redundant connectivity on all POPS to avoid downtime in case of one link failure
• To implement and operate Layer 2 & Layer 3 Metro network
• To configure firewalls to protect the network services like SMTP, DNS, NMS, CRM & other monitoring services
• To monitor and ensure timely corrective actions for all network devices under administrative control
• To supervise and coordinate with vendors for the opening of service requests of typical issues that require vendor support
• To supervise and configure secure administrative access, devices, operational logging, VLAN, high availability, routing, remote VPN configuration etc.
• To ensure that backups are being taken as per the defined procedures
• To remove and fix vulnerabilities highlighted by the audit and IS Department
• To configure any new feature available in the devices required by the end-user / business
• To perform any other assignment as assigned by the supervisor(s)

Place of Posting: Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad

Employment Type: The employment will be on contractual basis, for three years which may be renewed on discretion of the Management. Selected candidates will be offered compensation package and other benefits as per Bank's Policy / rules

Qualification:

• Minimum Bachelor's in IT, Computer Science or equivalent from a local or international university / college / institute recognized by the HEC
• Candidates having a Master's degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent and/or relevant certification will be preferred

Experience
• Minimum 05 years of experience in providing technical assistance and support related to computer hardware & software systems / applications related to networking
• Candidates having experience in a financial or non-financial and / or large-scale enterprise(s) will be preferred

Employment Type:
