Description:

We are looking for a “Software Development Manager”. The ideal candidate should possess the following:

Job Responsibilities:
• Plan, scope, manage, measure, and monitor software development projects.
• Assist in technical pre-sales activities with sales and business development teams.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Product, Design, and other teams to define and deliver on the product and technical roadmap.
• Work closely with and manage workloads of developers on your team.
• Hold regular meetings with the team (e.g,. Scrum rituals) and its developers (e.g., 1-on-1s).
• Continuously measure and review SDLC processes within the team, and drive further efficiencies and improvements in line with DevOps principles and industry best practices.
• Help ensure high-quality documentation is written for product requirements, software specifications, and the results of software development (e.g., API Specs, new features).
• Hire and facilitate training of new developers.
• Establish a collaborative work environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, high degree of craftsmanship, and personal growth.

• Ability to commute/relocate Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
• Work Location Hybrid remote in Toronto, Canada

Qualification:

• 5+ years leading a team of software developers/engineers.
• Experience leading cross-functional remote teams (front-end and back-end).
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of continuous integration, quality assurance, automation tools, release management, deployment, and associated processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
• Experience in developing solutions on Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI is required.
• Hands-on experience in working with financial transaction systems and ISO 8583 Financial Protocol is required.
• 3+ years programming experience in .NET and Azure is a must.
• Ability to architect large scale enterprise solutions on Microsoft Azure will be treated as a plus.
• Experience in DevOps (esp. Azure DevOps) and developing on Azure (App Services, CosmosDB, Azure SQL) is a plus.
