The PwC Actuarial Team consists of specialists in business and actuarial consulting for the insurance sector. We design, value, and create models for risk forecasting, and make strategic decisions related to financial risk management. We provide support to property insurance clients operating in the largest global markets. We are seeking an Actuarial Consultant to join our dynamic team.
As part of the current recruitment process, we are looking for individuals who would like to develop their expertise in property insurance projects within English-speaking markets, with a particular focus on the UK. We execute high-impact consulting projects for the largest global insurance companies, encompassing the development and validation of actuarial models, comprehensive risk analysis, and the implementation of modern regulatory and reporting solutions. This role offers exposure to complex financial risk management challenges and advanced actuarial methodologies.
Your future role will involve: conducting work related to the construction, validation, and implementation of actuarial models, particularly projection models for property insurance; establishing key assumptions and methods for calculating technical-insurance reserves and SCR capital requirements; preparing in-depth actuarial analyses, including rigorous data quality assessment; designing robust model testing strategies and overseeing their successful implementation; coordinating selected project areas and collaborating effectively with clients on ongoing tasks; preparing compelling reports and presentations for clients and actively participating in key project meetings; and continuously developing tools and methodologies utilized in actuarial projects.

Eligibility / Qualification Required:

  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience in actuarial science, preferably in property insurance.
  • Higher education, preferred fields include: Mathematics, Econometrics and Quantitative Methods, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, etc.
  • Highly developed analytical skills, including the ability to analyze large amounts of information and draw quick conclusions.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (VBA knowledge will be an additional asset).
  • Familiarity with new technologies and AI-based tools in daily work (e.g., task automation, information analysis, content creation).
  • Fluent in English and Polish, and additionally possess knowledge of German.
  • Possess an actuarial license or are in the process of obtaining it (additional asset).
  • Experience working in audit and/or knowledge of IFRS17 (additional asset).
  • **Welcome:** Knowledge of IFRS17 at a very good/advanced level.
