As a Sustainability Consultant at PwC, you will utilise your skills and experience across environmental, social, governance (ESG) topics and sustainability more broadly. You will analyse client needs and provide consulting services across different areas in the sustainability lifecycle, including strategy, transformation, and reporting. This role specifically assists financial industry clients in providing practical ESG sustainability consulting and assurance services tailored to their operational context. Beyond strategic planning, you will help clients transform sustainability concepts into concrete business strategies, robust risk management solutions, and compelling market communication highlights, ultimately driving green transformation and sustainable growth within the financial sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Sustainability Report Writing and Consulting Services:
- Assist clients in preparing sustainability reports and provide consulting services.
- Guide clients through international sustainability rating questionnaires, such as CDP, DJSI.
- Guide domestic sustainability finance assessments.
- Assist companies in implementing climate-related financial disclosures (TCFD) and nature-related financial disclosures (TNFD).
- Help clients plan long-term ESG development roadmaps, targets, and action plans, and establish performance tracking mechanisms.
ESG Assurance Services:
- Execute third-party assurance operations in accordance with international assurance standards (e.g., Greenhouse gas inventory data, water resource management performance, waste recycling rates, employee diversity indicators, corporate ethics and anti-corruption statements).
Greenhouse Gas Inventory Consulting Services:
- Assist companies in conducting Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas inventories.
- Guide companies in carbon reduction measures and transition action plans, such as applying for SBTi verification, implementing internal carbon pricing, and setting carbon reduction targets.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
- Highly responsible, meticulous, and reliable.
- Excellent data analysis and report writing skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly.
- Proactive in developing solutions when faced with challenges, possessing the ability and enthusiasm to assist clients in problem-solving.
- Strong team player, capable of effective collaboration with cross-departmental, cross-functional teams, and clients.
- **Preferred Qualification:** Excellent English proficiency.
- **Preferred Certification:** Hold ISO 14064, ISO 14067, Sustainability Financial Manager, ESG Sustainability Manager, or ESG Sustainability Planner certifications.
- **Note on Experience:** No relevant work experience is required if applicants possess a relevant academic background (e.g., environmental-related departments, completion of sustainability courses, relevant club or internship experience, or other sustainability-related course certificates).
