Eligibility / Qualification Required:
Customs Broker | Location - Jordan
Responsibilities:
- Liaising with customs authorities on all matters related to cargo clearance.
- Preparing, reviewing, and submitting the full set of documents for customs clearance (import, export, transit).
- Classifying goods (HS codes), verifying accuracy of descriptions and declared value.
- Calculating duties, taxes, and other customs charges.
- Monitoring timelines for customs procedures and declaration releases.
- Working with government and port IT systems.
- Coordinating inspections and attending customs examinations.
- Interacting with ports, terminals, carriers, and warehouse operators.
- Resolving disputes and handling complex cases with customs authorities.
- Providing information on customs regulations and compliance.
- Supporting transit operations (including guarantees, seals, escort if required).
- Managing delayed/problematic shipments, minimizing risks of demurrage and penalties.
- Optimizing customs clearance processes and related costs.
- Coordinating with finance teams regarding payment of duties and fees.
Requirements:
Requirements:
- 3 years' experience in a similar role.
- Education background in Logistics, Customs or similar.
- Based in Jordan.
- Proven experience in the field of customs clearance in Jordan.
- Fluent in English.
