Role Overview:

The post is full-time, based primarily at the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Peshawar, Pakistan.
This is a post for a highly motivated and committed individual to undertake a key role as a full time consultant upper GI surgeon in the department of surgical oncology at SKMCH&RC, Peshawar. The appointee will be expected to provide upper GI oncological surgery expertise in the management of cancer patients and will be expected to work with and support the established multidisciplinary site specific teams, as appropriate. Additionally, the appointee will be required to undertake research projects and publish in indexed journals.

Eligibility / Qualification Required:

• FRCS (UK, Canada, Australia) with CCT in general & upper GI surgery and / or evidence of satisfactory completion of sub-specialty training in Upper GI oncological surgery.
• American board certification in Surgery, with further fellowship in upper GI oncological surgery.
• Full Registration with PMC.
• Excellent verbal communication and computer skills.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
