The Actuarial Team at PwC consists of many specialists in business and actuarial consulting for the insurance sector. On a daily basis, it deals with designing, valuing, and creating models for risk forecasting, as well as making strategic decisions related to financial risk management. We support clients from the insurance sector in implementing a new financial reporting standard. We are looking for a **Java Developer** to join our team, focusing on **financial risk management** and **insurance technology** solutions.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Java programming.
- Experience in creating or maintaining data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes.
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
- Ability to design solution architecture and optimize code for performance.
- Experience working with large and diverse datasets, as well as process automation.
- Knowledge of tools and principles of work in Agile, Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills in Polish, English, and German.
- Demonstrated knowledge of new technologies and AI-based tools in daily work (e.g., task automation, information analysis, content preparation).
- Characterized by accuracy, proactivity, and analytical thinking skills.
Nice to have:
- Experience in the area of insurance, risk, or actuarial science.
- Experience in Python programming.
- Knowledge of tools such as FastAPI, Pandas, SQLAlchemy.
- Experience in designing backend systems.
