Job Description & Summary: Transaction Services at PwC Polska is a team of 30 experts dealing with financial due diligence of companies that are subject to M&A transactions. We assess their financial condition, thoroughly analyzing the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow, as well as all key parameters relevant to a given business. We strive to identify potential risks that may be significant for the buyer in making an investment decision and influencing the company's valuation. We examine companies from many sectors, allowing us to learn various business models and approaches to financial management.
We are looking for: Senior Consultant. Your future role: participation in due diligence projects concerning buy-side or sell-side transactions of enterprises in various sectors of the economy (e.g., Healthcare, Technology, IT, Retail, E-Commerce, Manufacturing, Transport and Logistics, Energy), identification and analysis of key 'drivers' (so-called Value drivers) and business KPIs (e.g., organic growth, acquisitions, price changes, volume changes, acquiring or losing a key client, changes in salary levels, one-off events, etc.), independent analysis of a selected part of financial data and inclusion of analysis effects in the client report, analysis of data completeness and quality in VDR, preparation of questions and active participation in meetings with 'Targets' representatives (CFO, controlling and accounting teams, management or owners) and coordination and supervision of assistants and interns, active participation in determining potential adjustments to key transactional parameters, cooperation with other teams working on a given transaction (tax team, legal team, M&A, valuation team, investment banks), and finally preparing a financial due diligence report in the form of a PowerPoint presentation and a databook in Excel.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
- You have a minimum of 2 years of experience working in advisory teams dealing with financial data analysis (e.g., in the audit, valuation, financial modeling, restructuring, controlling department or in the FDD team).
- You have broad knowledge in the area of corporate finance analysis, controlling, and accounting.
- You are proficient in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint and want to learn advanced data analysis and visualization tools.
- You demonstrate knowledge of new technologies and AI-based tools in everyday work (e.g., task automation, information analysis, content creation).
- You are fluent in English and Polish.
- You thrive in teamwork – we count on your openness and ease of making contacts.
- You like to act independently and organize your work well.
- You are interested in transactions and/or the stock market.
