Role Overview:
The post is full-time, based at the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Peshawar.
This is a post for a highly motivated and committed individual to undertake a key role as a full-time consultant orthopaedic surgeon in the Department of Surgical Oncology at SKMCH&RC. The appointee is expected to provide expertise in the day-to-day management of patients with orthopaedic malignancies. The appointed individual is expected to have training and expertise in the surgical management of bone and soft tissue sarcomata and bony tumours, including limb-salvage and limb reconstruction surgery. As such, the appointee will be required to provide world-class orthopaedic surgical services to patients, in concert with multidisciplinary site-specific teams. There is a fixed commitment to teach surgical residents / medical officers, technical staff and nurses and to participate in research activity.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
- FRCS with CCST in orthopaedic surgery and / or evidence of satisfactory completion of sub-specialty training in orthopaedic surgery.
- American board in surgery, with sub-specialty board in orthopaedic surgery.
- Full registration with the PMC.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
