Faculty Member in English to join the
Preparatory Year Program. The role focuses on developing students’ academic English proficiency, communication skills, and readiness for healthcare and medical education through high-quality teaching and student-centered learning approaches.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Academic Delivery- Deliver English language lectures, tutorials, and interactive learning sessions for preparatory year students
- Teach academic reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, and communication skills
- Support students in developing academic and medical terminology proficiency
- Apply student-centered and outcome-based teaching strategies
- Utilize LMS (Blackboard) and digital teaching tools effectively
- Prepare and administer assessments, assignments, and examinations
- Maintain accurate academic records including attendance, grades, and reports
Student Support & Development- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students
- Support students with varying English proficiency levels
- Monitor student performance and provide constructive feedback to improve learning outcomes
Academic Quality & Compliance- Ensure compliance with academic policies and accreditation standards
- Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Prepare course files, reports, and required academic documentation on time
Research & Professional Development- Participate in academic activities, workshops, conferences, and professional development programs
- Contribute to departmental and institutional initiatives where applicable
Collaboration & Engagement- Participate in departmental meetings and academic committees
- Collaborate with faculty members to support student success and program objectives
Requirements
- Master’s or PhD in English, Applied Linguistics, TESOL, or related field
- Experience teaching English in preparatory year, foundation, or higher education programs preferred
- Strong command of academic English and communication skills
- Familiarity with LMS (Blackboard) and educational technologies
