Key Responsibilities:
To assist NUST Legal Section in the provision of legal advisory, contract management, policy development, compliance monitoring, litigation support and institutional governance functions by conducting legal research, preparing and reviewing legal documentation, maintaining records, coordinating with stakeholders and facilitating internal legal and administrative processes to ensure the University's legal and regulatory interests are effectively safeguarded.
- Maintain a comprehensive, up-to-date case tracking system for all internal legal matters, disciplinary proceedings, compliance actions, and approvals
- Monitor and follow up on internal compliance obligations, approval pipelines, and legal decisions to ensure timely implementation and closure.
- Ensure all legal files, records, and institutional documents are organized, securely maintained, and retrievable in accordance with institutional recordkeeping standards.
- Manage the legal documentation and procedural compliance of internal inquiries, harassment cases, and disciplinary proceedings, ensuring adherence to principles of natural justice and NUST Statutes at every stage.
- Prepare inquiry files, draft notices, record proceedings, and compile case documentation for review by the competent authority.
- Track the status of all ongoing disciplinary matters and internal inquiries, ensuring timely follow-up and escalation where required.
- Maintain and manage the institutional repository of all executed MoUs, DoUs, agreements, and legal instruments, tracking key dates, obligations, and renewal timelines.
- Review and process internal approvals, minute sheets, and institutional submissions requiring legal clearance, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation.
Required Skills:
Essential Skills / KSA
- Sound knowledge of Pakistan's employment law, service rules, administrative law, and relevant federal/provincial legislation
- Proficiency in drafting legal documents, minute sheets, SOPs, policies, and procedural guidelines
- Understanding of disciplinary and inquiry procedures and principles of natural justice
- Good written and verbal communication skills for internal legal correspondence and reporting
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines independently
- Proficiency in MS Office and legal document / records management tools.

LLB or equivalent from HEC recognized University.
Experience:

02 years valid experience in reputed organization.
Desirable Experience
Individual having experience in any public & Private sector University.

- 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.
- NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.
- In process of pursuing a required degree.
- Medically unfit.
- Candidates serving in Govt departments, Armed forces may apply through their respective parent department / organizations.
