PwC France & Maghreb is actively structuring and developing its Data capabilities within the Chief Data Office (CDO). In this context, we are strengthening our team based in Tunis, operating in a OneTeam mode with the Paris teams. You will join an agile organization comprising approximately 12 people, distributed between Tunis and Paris, structured into mixed squads. You will be part of the extended Data Office management team and play a key role in collective success. The Squad Lead Data Analytics is the operational relay for the manager on-site in Tunis. They will act as a local supervisor, a technical coordinator, and an active contributor to the squad's delivery. They will lead a squad of approximately 5 Data Engineers and Data Analysts, in direct liaison with the Manager and other Team Leads. The indicative time distribution is 30% to 50% technical contribution, with the remainder dedicated to leadership, coordination, and team animation.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
Main Missions:
- Squad Leadership and Delivery:
- Decompose EPICs into User Stories, Enablers, and actionable tasks.
- Estimate and allocate workload based on team profiles.
- Organize and facilitate two-week sprints in conjunction with Azure DevOps.
- Ensure delivery within deadlines and quality standards.
- Consolidate and monitor the squad's roadmap in conjunction with the Manager.
- Team Coaching and Animation in Tunis:
- Be the local point of contact for team members based in Tunis.
- Ensure the well-being, skill development, and cohesion of the team.
- Provide mentorship for junior and intermediate profiles.
- Embody a "big brother" or "big sister" spirit for the entire Tunisian team, beyond their direct squad.
- Quality and Technical Framework Guardian:
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to standards and evaluate collaborators' skill levels.
- Participate in Data architecture committees to ensure framework consistency in collaboration with the Data Architect.
- Ensure the application of Agile methodology and best practices within the team.
- Directly contribute to development on Data Engineering and/or BI topics as per squad needs.
- Be able to technically unblock team members.
- Interface and Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Manager to ensure strategic and operational alignment.
- Collaborate with business teams for reception, reformulation, and challenging of needs.
- Strengthen the OneTeam Tunis Paris dynamic.
- Regular trips to Paris are foreseen as part of the role.
Technical Stack:
- Data Engineering domain with Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
- BI and semantics with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
- Project tracking with Azure DevOps.
- Languages and databases with SQL and Python.
- Expert mastery of the entire stack is not an absolute prerequisite. The ability to understand, evaluate, and support the team's work is prioritized.
Desired Profile:
- Technical Skills:
- Solid experience in Data Engineering and/or BI on the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
- Good command of SQL and associated languages, with Python appreciated.
- Knowledge of Databricks and Power BI or Fabric environments.
- Experience with Agile practices including Scrum, Kanban, backlog management, and sprints.
