Key Responsibilities:
- To assist the NUST Legal section in the effective management of litigation, court proceedings and legal advisory functions of the University by coordinating with external counsel, courts and stakeholders; facilitating legal documentation and case management; conducting legal research; monitoring compliance with judicial decisions; maintaining litigation records, recoveries and ensuring timely handling of legal matters in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and institutional requirements.
- Monitor all court hearing dates, filing deadlines, and submission timelines, ensuring no case suffers adverse consequences due to procedural default or missed deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with court orders, judgments, and legal decisions, tracking implementation across relevant NUST directorates and escalating non-compliance to the supervisor.
- Serve as the primary point of coordination between NUST and external law firms and legal advisors, providing case instructions, relevant documents, institutional background, and timely responses to relevant authories.
- Manage all external legal correspondence, including communications with courts, opposing counsel, government legal offices, and judicial forums ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and institutional alignment.
- Manage the litigation and documentation for all FDP bond recovery cases and financial recovery proceedings, maintaining an accurate and current register of cases, amounts claimed, amounts recovered, and case status.
- Track outstanding recovery amounts, monitor payment compliance post-judgment, and initiate escalation proceedings where recovery obligations are not met.
Required Skills:
Essential Skills / KSA
- Ability to independently manage a litigation portfolio, including case files, court deadlines, hearing schedules, and counsel coordination
- Strong skills in drafting legal briefs, court submissions, correspondence with external counsel, and litigation status reports
- Experience in managing recovery proceedings, including FDP bond defaults and financial recovery cases
- Competence in facilitating out-of-court negotiations and settlement processes under institutional guidelines
- Proficiency in maintaining case tracking systems, litigation registers, and recovery records with accuracy and confidentiality
- Ability to manage external legal communications and coordinate effectively with courts, law firms, and judicial offices
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent cases, deadlines, and stakeholders independently
- Proficiency in MS Office and legal case management or records management tools.

LLB from HEC recognized University.
Experience:
Essential Experience
02 Years relevant experience from reputed public sector organization.
Desirable Experience
Individual having experience in handling the cases of educational departments.
General Conditions:

Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons:
- 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.
- NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.
- In process of pursuing a required degree.
- Medically unfit.
- Candidates serving in Govt departments, Armed forces may apply through their respective parent department / organizations.
