About the location: Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia will feature 95 keys and 25 branded residential homes, 8 distinct F&B outlets, all thoughtfully designed to reflect a contemporary interpretation of the Dominican Republicâs natural beauty. Wellness will be a defining pillar of the property, delivering a holistic experience that harmonizes with the natural environment while enhancing overall wellbeing through the restorative power of nature. The sustainable luxury destination is located on a 60-acre (24 hectare) site along the pristine beachfront of Playa Esmeralda in northeastern Dominican Republic, along the southern shores of Samaná Bay. A site of breathtaking natural beauty, Tropicalia is home to a diverse ecosystem of white-sand beaches; crystalline, aquamarine water and coral reefs; mountains, forests, mangroves, lagoons and rivers; a working coconut plantation; and an organic farm. Target start date for this role is August 2026 The Director of Food & Beverage will be a cornerstone of the resort experience, driving energy, activation, and guest engagement across the property. This role will lead eight distinct outlets, including: Signature destination restaurant Allâday dining restaurant focused on farmâtoâtable cuisine, utilizing produce from the resortâs organic farm Beach grill Beach shack Crudo bar Cigar and lounge bar Juice bar Coffee and cocoa bar In addition, the role oversees banqueting and events, beach service, and inâresidence dining for 25 private residential units. What you will do: Lead the preâopening planning and execution of all Food & Beverage operations, including concept development, outlet mix, service models, and operating procedures. Define and deliver a cohesive Food & Beverage vision aligned with the resortâs ultraâluxury positioning, sustainability values, and destination identity. Oversee all F&B outlets and experiences, including restaurants, bars, lounges, banqueting, events, beach service, and inâresidence dining. Drive financial performance through strategic pricing, cost control, forecasting, and revenue optimization in partnership with Finance and Commercial teams. Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to ensure seamless integration of culinary and service excellence across all dining concepts. Recruit, lead, and develop highâperforming F&B teams, establishing strong leadership structures and succession planning from preâopening onward. Set and enforce service standards, quality assurance, and guest experience benchmarks, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints. Ensure full compliance with health, safety, licensing, and regulatory requirements, as well as brand and corporate operational standards. Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Events teams to create compelling dining experiences, destination programming, and revenueâdriving initiatives. Act as a visible leader and ambassador for the resortâs F&B offering, supporting VIP guests, owners, media activities, and signature events. What you bring: Three to five years of experience as a Director of Food & Beverage with Four Seasons or similar organization preferred, ideally including preâopening projects. Strong expertise in multiâoutlet operations, encompassing fine dining, bars, banquets, events, and resortâstyle service environments. Demonstrated ability to drive commercial performance while maintaining exceptional guest experience standards. Exceptional leadership and people development capabilities, with experience building and scaling teams in complex operations. Strong strategic, operational, and financial acumen, with a handsâon leadership approach suited to preâopening and luxury environments.
