This position is for an Employment Tax Manager in Auckland, New Zealand, focusing on high-quality employment tax advice. Join a specialist team supporting a growing pipeline of client work across employment tax matters and contribute to the development of the Auckland team. You will work with experienced tax advisors on advisory and compliance projects, including PAYE and FBT reviews, employee share scheme reporting, and partnering with clients for recurring employment tax compliance. PwC’s role as an Inland Revenue accredited Participating Advisor also creates opportunities for distinctive employment tax governance and risk reviews. You’ll collaborate across PwC’s national Tax & Legal Services network to deliver integrated solutions for clients, including corporate, private, legal, international, indirect, digital, and transactions tax specialists. Eligibility / Qualification Required:
- Significant, proven tax experience (over 4 years) in a professional environment, including handling complex tax advisory projects.
- Experience in PAYE, FBT, employee share schemes, remuneration, or other workforce-related tax matters is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of tax legislation and revenue authority practices, gained in New Zealand or a comparable jurisdiction with similar tax principles.
- Proven leadership experience in managing teams or complex projects.
- Experience in business development and client relationship management.
- International experience when paired with New Zealand tax experience would be advantageous.
