Job Description:

• Regularly patrol hospital buildings and grounds to prevent and detect signs of intrusion if assigned that duty.
• Adhere to be available on designated spot and do not leave the place without informing the supervisor.
• Monitor surveillance equipment and access points.
• Ensure all hospital security policies are enforced.
• Ensure implementation of instructions of the management, security officer and supervisor.
• Check all luggage, vehicles, visitors and staff entering the hospital premises.
• Surveillance all visitors and staff entering the Emergency, Wards and internal areas of the hospital.
• Responding to alarms, emergencies, and security breaches, assessing situations, and taking appropriate action, which may include contacting authorities.
• Manage and de-escalate conflicts or disturbances and report to the Supervisor immediately.
• Verify gate passes of outgoing luggage if needed.
• Check all offices, stores and departments after closing hours.
• Counsel patient attendants to be seated in a proper manner in waiting areas if needed.
• Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter hospitals areas.
• Assisting employees and visitors with security-related needs and concerns.
• Report any safety hazards or breaches to the Security Supervisor.
• Ensure all vehicles are parked in the correct allotted parking areas.
• Ensure proper handing / taking over at change of shift, following all protocols and procedures.
• Perform any other task assigned by the immediate supervisor that is commensurate with your knowledge and skills.
