Overview
Ibex. is looking for a
"Network Engineer" with 3–4 years of experience in enterprise network environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in routing, switching, WAN technologies, and next-generation firewalls, along with strong troubleshooting skills to support large-scale infrastructure across Data Centers, DR sites, regional hubs, and branch locations.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and provide Tier-1/2/3 support to diagnose and resolve escalated issues that may cause service degradation or interruption in the connectivity of Data Center, DR, Regional Hubs, and all branches.
- Perform proactive monitoring (SolarWinds, PRTG) of 1000+ network devices and have knowledge of NMS/Syslog monitoring, alerting, and escalations.
- Resolve hardware/software platform issues in complex, layered network infrastructure environments.
- Routing, Switching, VPNs troubleshooting expertise. Understanding of WAN and internet multi-homing architechture.
- Knowledge of wireless access controllers and access points.
- Operate in a 24x7 operational and rotational NOC-based shift environment.
- Follow ITIL practices and enterprise change management processes.
- Technical project management background.
- Experience working in a large enterprise environment and excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to articulate project-level presentations to business sponsors.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills to resolve complex problems.
- Operational excellence with knowledge of ITIL practices.
Qualifications
- 3 to 4 years of experience with WAN protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF), LAN/WLAN, Cisco Catalyst switches, and Cisco ISR/ASR routers.
- Intermediate problem resolution knowledge of hardware and software platform issues in complex, layered network infrastructure.
- Knowledge of NG firewalls (multi-vendor: Cisco ASA, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet) and security products/practices including ACLs, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Good understanding of packet flow with OSI and TCP/IP knowledge.
- Experience with Cisco IOS, Cisco ASA/Palo Alto (firewall), Fortinet Wireless, SolarWinds, and other network management utilities.
- Strong NG firewall experience (multi-vendor: Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, FortiGate).
- Strong troubleshooting expertise in routing, switching, and VPNs.
- Understanding of WAN and internet multi-homing architecture.
- Knowledge of ITIL and enterprise change management.
- Technical project management background.
