JOB SUMMARY:The role is focused on monitoring and alerting of cloud-based environments, with the opportunity to support and operate across multiple cloud platforms with organizational growth. The NOC Engineer will be responsible for continuous monitoring, alerting & reporting, incident management, coordination & troubleshooting, and ensuring the high availability and performance of various cloud services and infrastructure elements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:- Live monitoring of the cloud infrastructure & services
- Provide level one 24/7 NOC support for cloud infrastructure, including shift-based and on-call operations
- Coordinate with the Internal teams and external vendors to follow & resolve the incidents
- Document incidents, root cause findings and resolution steps clearly and accurately
- Verify service restoration and ensure proper incident closure
- Monitor cloud platforms using NMS, observability and alerting tools to ensure system availability, performance, and security.
- Perform incident detection, logging, escalation, and resolution in accordance with defined SLAs.
- Troubleshoot level one issues related to compute, storage, networking, virtualization, cloud services and Internet Access
- Monitor and support Cloud-based environments, including upgrades, patches, and routine health checks.
- Execute change requests and maintenance activities following approved change management procedures.
- Extend operational support to other cloud platforms (public, private, or hybrid) such as AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack, or VMware-based clouds as required.
- Coordinate with L2/L3 engineering teams, vendors, and stakeholders for incident follow up, resolution and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Maintain accurate operational documentation, runbooks, SOPs, and incident reports.
- Participate in post-incident reviews and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance platform stability and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, operational standards, and regulatory requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- At least 1 year of NOC experience
JOB RELATED COMPENTENCIES:- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (HCS, AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with ticketing and incident management systems
- Understanding of cloud computing, virtualization, and distributed systems
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls)
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.)
- Experience in 24/7 shift-based support environments
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple incidents
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
