Eligibility / Qualification Required:
Summary:To support maintenance of electrical and automation production machinery to ensure smooth operations, minimize downtime, and maintain production efficiency through timely preventive and corrective maintenance. The role involves assisting in installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of PLC systems, VFDs, control panels, motors, and industrial sensors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in installation, wiring, and commissioning of automation panels, motors, sensors, and control systems.
- Support troubleshooting and maintenance of PLC-controlled machines (Siemens, Delta, Mitsubishi, etc.).
- Perform inspection and servicing of VFDs, relays, contactors, controllers, and field devices.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PLC I/O layouts.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Diagnose faults and replace defective electrical components including wiring, switches, and sensors.
- Maintain maintenance logs, breakdown records, and repair data.
- Follow HSE and safety procedures during all maintenance activities.
- Assist technicians and vendors during specialized repair work.
- Perform any other task assigned by management.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Education: BE / BTech / DAE (Electrical, Electronics, or relevant technical field)
Experience: 1–3 years in a manufacturing/industrial automation environment
PERSONAL SKILLS:
- Basic knowledge of PLC systems, VFDs, HMIs, and sensors
- Electrical troubleshooting and fault-finding ability
- Understanding of industrial safety practices
- Team player with willingness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
