Our Deals (M&A) business is an exciting and ever-growing practice that focuses on deals and crisis situations for our clients. We deal with the types of situations you hear about regularly in the news, providing support, insight, and analysis to the management, shareholders, and financiers of businesses. We are seeking talented and innovative professionals to become top advisors within our financial due diligence practice, offering the opportunity to gain experience in the financial and operational aspects of mergers, acquisitions, IPOs, and (re)financing processes.
In this role, you will help clients looking to buy a business, sell all or part of their business, refinance, or list on stock exchanges through Initial Public Offerings (IPOs). Your work is crucial in helping buyers or sellers understand what makes a transaction successful. You will thoroughly assess a target company’s finances, consider the opportunities and risks, and identify potential deal issues. You will also work with vendors, independently assessing businesses so that potential buyers can make informed decisions. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile, varied, and challenging strategic and private equity transactions, advising throughout the deal cycle and gaining key skills in financial due diligence from both buy and sell sides.
Furthermore, you will work on high-profile transactions that are often in the news, supporting strategic and financial parties (such as private equity firms) in evaluating takeover candidates or preparing the sale of companies or business units. Collaborating with your project team, you will collect and analyse financial and commercial data, create analyses and reports, and discuss your findings with colleagues and clients. Due diligence is performed on client premises or at the office via a virtual data room, and you will regularly attend management presentations, expert sessions, and customer meetings. The actual report will comprise analyses of the financial track record and projected performance of a target company, identifying key risks and opportunities. You will be part of a leading (inter)national Deals practice where innovation is central, fostering a dynamic environment for corporate finance professionals.
