Eligibility / Qualification Required:
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for overseeing and optimizing the complete raw material supply chain, including coordination, inventory control, storage & issuance. The role ensures accurate stock management, demand planning, ERP compliance & smooth coordination across furniture raw material stores to support uninterrupted production flow and cost efficiency.
Material Planning & Inventory Control
- Develop and manage inventory control/tracking systems for accurate and timely material flow.
- Manage monthly material demand, maintain optimal stock levels, and monitor usage trends.
- Perform daily analysis to predict potential shortages and avoid inefficiencies.
- Conduct monthly review of MRP (local/import) to prevent surplus or delays.
- Supervise daily systematic ERP transactions, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
- Oversee physical counts and reconcile with system data.
- Implement FIFO/FEFO principles and safe storage practices.
- Monitor and process material returns to achieve cost savings.
Supply Chain & Coordination
- Coordinate material delivery schedules with Procurement, Production, and Logistics.
- Daily review of demand notes from Karachi and Lahore to ensure timely supply of raw materials.
- Track shortages and align with Procurement/Production teams to avoid production downtime.
- Coordinate with MIS/ERP teams to create/implement new forms and improve transaction processes.
- Ensure timely communication and reporting for Karachi & Lahore regions regarding transactions and dispatches.
- Control warehouse facilities to ensure safe storage and preservation of materials.
Process, Efficiency & Compliance
- Drive cost-saving initiatives and manage annual/monthly material budgets.
- Promote Lean Warehousing, 5S, and best practices in store management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, HSE guidelines, and audit requirements.
People & Leadership
- Lead, train, and develop a team of store officers and support staff.
- Ensure workforce productivity, discipline, and adherence to safety standards.
- Foster a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Reporting & Review
- Generate and present inventory performance reports in weekly/monthly management review meetings (MRM).
- Share actionable insights on stock levels, shortages, and consumption trends with management.
- Maintain documentation accuracy and ensure audit readiness.
- Engage in periodic discussions with GM Sales and interdepartmental heads for material planning alignment
