The Oracle HCM Test Manager will:

  • Define and implement the overall test strategy, approach, and governance framework aligned to programme objectives.
  • Lead end-to-end test planning, execution, and reporting across all phases including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and regression testing.
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders, functional leads, and system integrators to ensure comprehensive test coverage and traceability to requirements.
  • Establish and manage test environments, test data, and defect management processes.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of test scripts and scenarios, ensuring alignment with business processes and Oracle HCM functionality.
  • Manage defect triage, prioritisation, and resolution in collaboration with delivery teams.
  • Provide clear reporting on test progress, risks, and quality metrics to programme leadership.
  • Ensure appropriate risk management and mitigation planning throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Support business users during UAT and ensure readiness for go-live.
  • Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, tools, and automation where appropriate.

  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale system integration and UAT cycles
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM)
  • Strong knowledge of test methodologies, QA frameworks, and defect lifecycle management
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across business and technical teams
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to present to senior stakeholders

Desirable

  • Experience in public sector or regulated environments
  • Familiarity with data migration testing and integration testing
  • Experience with test automation tools and approaches
  • Knowledge of Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or a related discipline
  • Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, Oracle HCM Cloud, or equivalent are advantageous
