As a (Senior)
Manager Data Management – Public Sector, you will work in a multidisciplinary team involved in a wide variety of projects in the field of
data, analytics, and
AI. We help our clients become aware of the importance of reliable data and information and its sustainable setup, management, and use. We ensure the increase in maturity in areas such as metadata management, modeling, and data quality so that
data trends are recognized and the added value of data and information can be realized. We do this by developing, setting up, and guiding prerequisites in areas such as
data strategy, architecture,
data governance, and data and information processes during execution. Additionally, we support the development and adoption of technological changes in
Data Science, Data Platforms, and
GenAI. In this way, you contribute daily to our clients in central government, law enforcement and security, infrastructure and transport, regional government, and healthcare. At PwC, we work hybrid, combining working from home, at the client, and at the office as optimally as possible.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Defining Data Strategy: Define our clients' data strategy, business case, and roadmap to ensure data is effectively managed and utilized.
- Establishing a Chief Data Office: Set up and implement a Chief Data Office, including designing and operationalizing a robust data operating model.
- Developing Data Governance Strategy: Develop and implement a data governance strategy with clearly defined roles and responsibilities to improve data quality.
- Guiding Clients: Guide clients in the selection and implementation of data (management) tools to support data and business strategy.
- Applying Knowledge of Innovative Trends: Apply knowledge and experience of innovative trends such as (Gen)AI.
- Leading Projects: Lead projects within the domain of data and information management, (Gen)AI, and digital transformations for clients, collaborating with colleagues from different disciplines and taking responsibility for planning, budgeting, and delivering high-quality results.
- Advising and Supporting: Advise, support, and facilitate clients in the public sector in establishing and applying data and information management, (Gen)AI, and digital transformations.
- Facilitating & Developing Client Initiatives: Facilitate client initiatives such as workshops, seminars, and the development of whitepapers about data and information management, (Gen)AI, and digital transformations. Develop propositions, write assignment proposals, and actively maintain and expand client relationships.
- Coaching, Guiding & Motivating: Coach, guide, and motivate team members to foster professional growth to promote their performance and personal development.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
- Language: You are proficient in both Dutch and English.
- Education: You have a Master's (MSc) degree in Industrial Engineering or another technology-related field of study.
- Work Experience: Minimum 4 years of proven work experience in data and information management, preferably in the public sector.
- Data Strategy and Governance: Demonstrable knowledge of data strategy and data governance, and familiar with technology and data suppliers.
- Trends and Developments: In-depth knowledge and excellent understanding of current trends, challenges, and developments in data and information management.
- Data Management Knowledge: Demonstrable knowledge of data management, metadata, modeling, and data quality.
- Project and Account Management: Demonstrable experience in project and account management in data management and data platform technologies, preferably in the public sector.
- Leadership: Demonstrable experience in managing multidisciplinary teams, excellent communication skills, and effectiveness in collaborating with both clients and team members.
- Network and Ambition: A broad network within our field and the ambition to also undertake commercial activities with existing and potential clients.
- Guiding and Coaching: Experience in guiding and coaching (junior) colleagues.
