Location: Karachi, Pakistan
Role Overview:
This is a post for a highly motivated individual who will be expected to undertake a key role as a full-time consultant clinical haematologist and will help develop clinical haematology services under the umbrella of the Shaukat Khanum healthcare system in Karachi. The appointee will provide outpatient and inpatient treatment services for both benign and malignant haematological conditions. The individual will collaborate with colleagues within the department and will be required to liaise closely with pathologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons, physicians in other specialties and allied staff within the hospital.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
- MRCP (UK) and FRCPath (Haematology) with CCST in clinical haematology.
- Diplomate American Board in internal medicine, with sub-specialty board in haematology.
- Medical practitioner with full and unencumbered registration with the PMC.
- Evidence of extensive experience in a variety of inpatient and outpatient treatment facilities and settings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build a strong rapport with patients and their relatives in an empathetic and compassionate manner.
- Ability to work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team.
