Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain high-performance iOS and Android apps that integrate with university backend systems and deliver an excellent user experience for the NUST community.
· Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of mobile applications (for iOS and Android platforms) from concept and design to testing, deployment and launch.
· Collaborate with the UI/UX team to implement responsive and intuitive mobile interfaces.
· Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring a smooth and responsive user experience.
· Develop and execute unit and UI tests to guarantee the functionality and stability of both new and existing applications.
· Craft intuitive and engaging user interfaces that prioritize usability and enhance the overall user experience.
· Collaborate effectively with product development, back-end teams, and designers to deliver high-quality, integrated solutions.
· Stay at the forefront of mobile development by researching and recommending new technologies, applications, and protocols.
· Integrate mobile applications with existing RESTful APIs and backend databases.
· Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and battery efficiency.
· Ensure application security by implementing encryption and secure authentication protocols (OAuth2/OpenID).
· Monitor app performance, troubleshoot crashes, and release regular updates/bug fixes.
· Stay updated with the latest industry trends in mobile technology (Flutter, React Native, or Native Swift/Kotlin).
· Provide technical documentation for codebases and user manuals for deployed applications.
Required Skills:
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
Essential
· Proficiency in Dart/Flutter, Java/Kotlin, or Swift. Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX principles.
· Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work in agile teams, and strong version control (Git) habits.
Desirable
· Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for mobile, Firebase integration, and State Management (Provider/Bloc/Redux).
· Experience with GraphQL, Offline storage (Hive/SQFLite), and Push Notifications.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
Qualification:Essential Qualifications
16 years Bachelor’s in computer science, Software Engineering, or IT from HEC recognised University/ Institute.
Desirable Qualifications
Specialized certifications in Mobile App Development (Google/Apple).
Experience:
Essential Experience
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in mobile app development with a portfolio of published apps.
Desirable Experience
Experience with Flutter or React Native; familiarity with App Store/Play Store deployment. ? ? ?

Candidates are required to attach scanned copies of their documents (Academics / Professional). Last education certificate/degree must be attested/verified by HEC.
Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons:
- 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.
- NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.
- In process of pursuing a required degree.
- Medically unfit.
- Only selected candidates will be contacted and issued offer letter.
- Candidates serving in Govt departments, Armed forces may apply through their respective parent department / organizations.
