Staff Technologist - Microbiology

Eligibility / Qualification Required:

• Qualification:

  B.Sc./M.Sc. / MLT / BS / MS in Biological Sciences

• Experience:

  03 - 05 years of clinical lab technologist experience in Healthcare Industry

Job Description:

1. Job Responsibilities:

• Perform routine microbiological processing, parasitological and serological analysis, antibiotic susceptibility testing, and advanced reporting of routine cultures.
• Run daily QC/EQA, perform mycology techniques, staining, microscopy interpretation, yeast identification, water cultures, API/E strips, and Vitek 2 ID/MIC testing.
• Communicate abnormal findings to consultants, preserve samples as required, and train/support juniors and trainees in laboratory procedures.
• Monitor daily inventory consumption, maintain stock and indents, support internal/external audits (ISO, SHC, QA, QIPS, Finance), and maintain/analyze departmental data.
• Perform routine analyzer maintenance, maintain weekly logs, coordinate with biomedical engineers/suppliers for troubleshooting, and support laboratory operational efficiency.
