Eligibility / Qualification Required:
My client a leading Real Estate Developer in Abu Dhabi has an urgent requirement for a Document Controller to play a critical role within the design team, ensuring the accurate control, organization, and management of all project and design documentation. This position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented professional who can maintain robust document control systems, support design workflows, and ensure compliance with internal standards and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all Design Sector documentation, ensuring accuracy, quality, and traceability.
- Control the full lifecycle of documents, including receipt, registration, distribution, tracking, and archiving.
- Maintain a centralized document management system and ensure all incoming and outgoing documents are properly logged.
- Monitor document flow to ensure timely processing, approvals, and adherence to project timelines.
- Organize and classify documents for efficient retrieval and reference.
- Implement and enforce document control procedures in line with company policies and industry standards.
- Support the preparation, issuance, and distribution of technical documents, including drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence.
- Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure smooth document workflows.
- Conduct periodic audits to verify compliance with document control processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide ongoing support to the Design team for document-related queries and requests.
- Ensure strict confidentiality, security, and integrity of all documentation.
Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Document Controller, Mostly within a real estate developer, consultancy, or construction environment.
- Strong understanding of document control systems, processes, and best practices.
- Proficiency in document management platforms such as Aconex, SharePoint, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiarity with design processes, terminology, and deliverables is advantageous.
- Certification in records or document management is desirable.
