Location: Peshawar, Pakistan
Role Overview:
This is a post for a highly motivated individual who will be expected to undertake a key role as full time consultant medical oncologist and will help develop cancer services under the umbrella of the Shaukat Khanum healthcare system Peshawar. The appointee will provide outpatient and inpatient cancer treatment services, and will collaborate with colleagues within the department to develop oncology services. The appointee will also liaise closely with radiation oncologists, surgeons, physicians in other specialties and allied staff within the hospital.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
- MRCP (UK) with CCST in medical oncology.
- American board in internal medicine, with sub-specialty board in haematology and / or medical oncology.
- Medical practitioner with full and unencumbered registration with the PMC.
- Evidence of extensive experience in a variety of inpatient and outpatient treatment facilities and settings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build a strong rapport with patients and their relatives in an empathetic and compassionate manner.
- Ability to work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team.
