The increasing complexity and demands of society and politics require a proactive and innovative approach to risk management and compliance within the public sector. Our team focuses on various challenges in the areas of internal control, risk, control & Finance, digitalization, and risk management, thereby making a significant contribution to controlled and effective implementing organizations. To maximize this contribution, we understand the context of the public sector, are aware of relevant findings from the accountant Auditdienst Rijk (ADR) and the supervisor Algemene Rekenkamer, and are energized by the societal impact we can make as advisors. This ensures PwC Advisory remains a reliable partner and trusted expert within the Dutch public sector.
This is what you will do: Beyond our impact, we strongly believe in our people and the qualities they bring. The team is a young team of 40 colleagues with diverse backgrounds, including (micro-)economics, policy economics, public administration, Finance, and mathematics, who enjoy helping each other develop talents. Everyone in the team has a passion for societal issues and wants the public sector to function better and more effectively. We would like to enrich our team with an enthusiastic and inspiring Senior Manager who has experience in risk management and internal control within the public sector. You have the skills to combine strategic, tactical, and operational objectives of the organization with well-founded risk assessments. In addition, you are adept at navigating complex administrative structures and keep an eye on the societal context in which the public sector operates. Examples include:
- Analyzing and strengthening internal control at a ministry;
- Guiding an implementing organization in the implementation of a new risk management framework;
- Supporting a ministry in resolving (serious) deficiencies from the accountant and/or supervisor;
- Performing internal audits at an enforcement organization that wants to sharpen its (primary) processes;
- Mapping operational and IT processes and risks within government organizations and making recommendations for improvements and control measures;
- Setting up a 3-LoD model at an implementing organization and helping to embed it in the organization's governance.
In all this, we use technology such as GenAI as much as possible to arrive at smarter and more efficient solutions for our clients. This also addresses compliance issues in light of changing IT legislation. To meet the needs of our clients, we continuously invest in your development.
