Eligibility / Qualification Required:
We are seeking a highly motivated professional to support and oversee risk, legal, and compliance functions within our in-house HR software operations. The role focuses on strengthening governance frameworks, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and maintaining robust internal controls. You will play a key role in driving practical, proportionate, and cost-effective solutions that safeguard the organisation while enabling operational excellence.
- Support the identification and assessment of regulatory, legal, and compliance risks relevant to internal operations, products, and platforms.
- Coordinate and maintain risk and compliance registers, tracking obligations, issues, remediation actions, and ownership.
- Assist in assessing the adequacy of internal controls, policies, and procedures, focusing on compliance, governance, and operational risk rather than technical testing.
- Work with internal stakeholders (Legal, Risk, IT, Operations, HR) to interpret regulatory and compliance requirements and translate them into clear internal actions.
- Support compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies, such as data protection, information governance, outsourcing/vendor risk, and internal control standards.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of policies, procedures, standards, and compliance documentation.
- Monitor compliance issues, incidents, and breaches, and support follow‑up and remediation tracking.
- Prepare clear, concise internal reports and summaries for management on compliance status, key risks, and outstanding actions.
- Support internal reviews, audits, or regulatory enquiries by coordinating responses and documentation, rather than leading technical assessments.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to simplify controls, reduce duplication, and improve compliance efficiency.
- Stay informed on regulatory and compliance developments relevant to the organisation and flag potential impacts.
Education:- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Compliance, Business, Risk Management, Accounting, or a related discipline.
Experience:- 2–4 years of experience in compliance, legal support, risk management, governance, or internal controls roles, preferably in a software related business.
- Exposure to regulatory compliance, internal policies, or governance frameworks is preferred.
- Basic awareness of data protection, information security, or technology risk concepts is an advantage, but deep technical or IT audit experience is not required.
- Experience supporting audits, regulatory reviews, or compliance reporting is a plus.
Skills:- Strong organisational and documentation skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret requirements and communicate them clearly to non‑legal, non‑technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and managing follow‑ups.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with risk, compliance, or GRC tools is an advantage.
