Key Responsibilities:
To assist the GM TTO for identifying, protecting, and commercializing intellectual property generated at NUST through licensing, spin- off creation, industry partnerships, and other technology transfer mechanisms.
Manager TTO is responsible for day- day operations of TTO and serves as the primary interface between NUST faculty members and external stakeholders.
Technology Identification & Evaluation
- Conduct systematic scouting of technologies developed across NUST schools/ colleges to identify innovations with commercialization potential.
- Evaluate identified technologies for technical maturity, market potential, and commercial viability using structured frameworks.
- Prepare technology assessment and commercialization recommendation reports for all new technologies and conduct periodic reviews for ongoing commercialization engagements.
- Maintain and regularly update the technology commercialization portfolio, including technologies under evaluation, protected IP assets, and commercialized technologies.
Licensing & Commercialization
- Work closely with Research Dte and NUST IP Office to assess the commercial potential of newly disclosed IPs and recommend appropriate commercialization and licensing pathways.
- Support and facilitate spin-off formation from NUST technologies by guiding researchers through venture structuring processes, including IP-to-equity arrangements and compliance with institutional conflict-of-interest and governance requirements.
- Identify, engage, and qualify prospective industry partners, investors, and commercialization partners for licensing and adoption of NUST technologies.
- Assist the GM TTO throughout the licensing lifecycle, including valuation, structuring, negotiation and execution of licensing/ sub- licensing agreements and relationship management.
- Develop marketing collateral of ready- technologies that include briefs, pitch decks, and promotional materials in coordination with different internal stakeholders.
- Facilitate industry engagement with NUST Laboratories, schools/ colleges, to promote collaborative R&D, testing etc.
Outreach & Stakeholder Management
- Represent NUST at industry, academic and innovation ecosystem events to showcase university technologies and identify commercialization opportunities.
- Design and deliver technology-focused initiatives, hackathons, competitions etc. to identify promising technologies.
- Plan and execute university-wide initiatives (trainings/ workshops) and recognition programmes that promote student and faculty innovation, entrepreneurship, and research excellence.

Eligibility / Qualification Required:
Qualification:Essential
MS degree in Business, Technology Management, or a related field from HEC recognised University/ Institute.
Desirable
MS Management / Marketing/ Finance/ Technology Management along with Bachelor (4 years) in any Engineering Discipline from HEC recognized university.
Experience:
Essential
· Minimum 03- 05 years of relevant experience in university TTO, industry R&D office, or University industrial liaison offices.
· Understanding of IP rights, licensing, patenting, commercialization processes, formation of spinout/ startup companies, and university-industry collaboration models.
Desirable
05 years or more of industrial / university Technology Transfer Office (TTO), or university innovation setup experience in patenting, licensing, and/or formation of spin-out/start-up companies should be essential.
Hands-on experience with:

· Exposure to national and international innovation ecosystems.
General Conditions:

Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons:
- 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.
- NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.
- In process of pursuing a required degree.
- Medically unfit.
- Candidates serving in Govt departments, Armed forces may apply through their respective parent department / organizations.
